Description

ZENITH presents the lightest version of its award-winning 1/10th of a second Chronomaster Sport Titanium! An ultra-technical, ultra-light yet ultra-precise watch! An award winning model!Winner of the “Chronograph” prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2021, the Chronomaster Sport represents the pinnacle of ZENITH’s incomparable heritage of high-frequency automatic chronographs. Pushing the limits of precision, it features a 1/10th of a second chronograph function with a graduated scale on the bezel. Sporty, contemporary and an undeniable part of the ZENITH El Primero family, the Chronomaster Sport is now available in an all-titanium version with a chromatic gray display. An ultra-light version! To enhance the elegant gray tones of Grade 5 titanium, the 41mm case of the Chronomaster Sport Titanium has a predominantly satin finish, including the crown and pump pushers. The bezel, also in titanium and engraved with a scale of 1/10th of a second, has a sunray satin finish that sets it apart from all other Chronomaster Sport references. The chamfers of the case and bracelet, as well as the edge of the bezel and caseback, are polished, a process that is only possible when working with top-quality titanium. As for the dial of the Chronomaster Sport Titanium, it reinterprets the Manufacture’s characteristic tricolour design in shades of grey, while retaining the subtle chromatisms of the case. The sun-brushed dial is finished in galvanized nickel grey and features chronograph counters in three different shades of anthracite, grey and silver. The date disk matches the dial. The three-link bracelet, also with an adjustable clasp, is also made of vertical satin-finished titanium. Wearing the Chronomaster Sport Titanium, which weighs 30% less than its steel counterpart, immediately makes a noticeable difference. Why titanium?Titanium offers many advantages over the traditional alloys used in watchmaking. It is significantly lighter than steel, a property appreciated in sports for maintaining unimpeded movement and balance. It has one of the highest strength-to-density ratios of any metallic element, making it extremely robust. It is also highly resistant to corrosion, which is appreciated when you sweat a lot. It is also paramagnetic, which further protects precision from external magnetic fields. With such a combination of properties, it’s no wonder that titanium is used in some of the most demanding and cutting-edge fields. An El Primero Caliber 3600Finally, we discover the latest version of the El Primero caliber through the sapphire crystal case-back. Zenith has built on the foundations of the El Primero caliber and five decades of studies and improvements to the El Primero and high-frequency chronographs to offer us here, for the first time, a display accurate to 1/10th of a second from the 5 Hz escapement (36,600 a/h) in direct reading on its bezel. This El Primero caliber, christened the 3600, has a generous power reserve of 60 hours – no mean feat with such a fast heart! Through the sapphire crystal case-back, you can admire the architecture of this marvel, as well as the blue column wheel and the openworked rotor marked with the five-pointed star.
